Snake Island Pangasinan: The Hidden Jewel

Have you heard about Snake Island in West tip part of Pangasinan Province, up, up and away in Luzon, North of Philippines? You probably not, because snorkel havens and white sand islands you mostly heard of is down South, in Visayas. Well, change a route a bit. I found Snake Island Pangasinan , this piece of paradise in a plateau with a glimpse of  the West China Sea (but hoping China wouldn’t claim it her own one day). About 20 minutes offshore of also white sand beach of Tambobong, Dasol, a small town capital known for producing salt and rich in marine resources. This is a land travel from Manila City but going here is a long and tricky way. It is a guarantee that you’ll have the Snake Island Pangasinan  to yourself. Bounded by amiable and friendly locals who find strangers crashing on the island like playing  important role in the soceity. Hospitality and hearty welcome they give despite their primitive way of life. The base, Tambobong beach is boasting its smooth white sand like of Boracay Island, that except to yourself, only locals are seen throwing in fishing nets. Snake Island’s white sand is prominent from a distance. It is so tempting and exciting getting there.
